Hot springs village known as a quiet retreat in Otaru City
This hot springs village is located alongside the Asarigawa River at the northern foot of Mt Asaridake. Otaru City first succeeded in developimg hot spring facilities in 1954, and since then this hot springs village has formed gradually. There are 10 hotels and inns and two bath facilities for day visitors. This place is considered to be an oasis of quiet by the people of Otaru, and the ski resorts and a golf course nearby add to its year-round appeal.
