Varieties of locally brewed beer made from specially chosen ingredients creating unique tasting ale
Many kinds of beer have been brewed locally throughout Japan since the amendment of the law in 1994. Nearly 30 beer manufacturers are established in Hokkaido and they sell highly individual beer using special ingredients, such as the local buckwheat, natural water and deep-sea water. Many breweries have a restaurant and a pub in their establishment, where delicious dishes made from local produce are served to accompany the beer.
