Red rowanberries announce the arrival of autumn in the surrounding cities of Hokkaido
This tree has originated from a mountain area and a sub-alpine zone. The mountain ash lines roads and parks and can be seen everywhere throughout Sapporo and Hakodate City in the Hokkaido region. It has red berries from late September to October announcing the arrival of autumn, and it creates a refined elegance when those rowanberries become covered with the first snow of the season. Absolutely beautiful!
