Cosmos is, needless to say, one of the most familiar flowers of autumn. It is a delightful sight, flowers of red, pink and white swaying in the wind, similar to the Sakura. From mid-August to early September in Takikawa City over 1.5 million cosmoses can be seen in the Maruka Highland which is 285m above sea level, and a carpet of 10 million cosmoses at Taiyo no Oka Engaru Park in Engaru Town can also be viewed.
