This plant measures 10cm to 20cm in size and has many stems branching off. The slim leaves grow up the entire stem from top to bottom, and the tiny 4mm flowers grow between the leaves near the top of the stem. The blackish purple berries are edible with an odd combination of a sweet and bitter aftertaste. Flowering season is from May to July.
