Get closer to the “primeval” side of Shiretoko from the sea
This cruise travels along the coastline of the Shiretoko Peninsula where there are many waterfalls and odd-shaped rocks. The 1-hour cruise goes back and forth between the Utoro Port and Mt. Io and the 3-hour cruise between the Utoro Port and Cape Shiretoko. Early morning sightseeing and brown bear watching cruises are also available. The boats go close to the shore, so there are more chances to spot rare birds and wildlife. In winter, drift ice watching and drift ice walking events are available from the shores of Rausu.
