The base for launching new foods in Biei, town of hills
Opened on April 28th 2007! Roadside Station Biei “Oka no Kura” can be found in the center of Biei town, right next to JR Biei station. “Oka no Kura” is established inside the renovated Biei Stone Warehouse that was constructed early in the Taisho era (1912~1926), and the interior uses locally produced larch wood to give it a warm, natural look. The restaurant uses locally produced fresh vegetables for the ingredients, and there is also a snack corner if you aren’t so hungry. You can also try your hand at bread making or udon noodle making, to make sure you get chance to appreciate all of the flavours of Biei!
