Peaceful area in which both adults and children can read picture books from around the world
This roadside station was established on September 21st 2006 in Kenbuchi town. Located 45km to the north of Asahikawa in the Wakkanai direction on Route 40, Kenbuchi is about half way between Sapporo and Wakkanai. The roadside station provides tourist information, information about Kenbuchi town and also about the special products of the area. The restaurant inside the roadside station serves bento boxed lunches prepared with delicious local ingredients and unique pumpkin purines, and local fresh vegetables are also sold direct to the public. You can also sample freshly baked bread made on the premises, or sample the uniquely original perilla flavoured ice cream.
