This roadside station can be found close to Kanayama Lake, Mecca for outdoor sports lovers, and features a unique building design that is modeled on the shape of the front of a canoe. As you enter the entrance lobby, there is a huge fish tank that contains ito, rainbow trout, and Japanese char that also live naturally in the lake. The ground floor of the building has a restaurant house and shop selling specialty products from Minami Furano, and the first floor of building has a display area that is packed with information on the nature and trees that are native to the Minami Furano area.
