Located along Highway 393 between Otaru City and the Village of Akaigawa. At a height of 470 meters, this panoramic view extends not only to downtown Otaru and Otaru Bay, but even down to Ishikari Bay. The deep blue seas and changing leaves of fall offer beautiful sights throughout the seasons. The night landscape of the lights of ferries departing in the night and the floating curves of the bay draw many local residents to this spot. The observation area is closed in winter due to snow.
