An excursion cruise to view the mysterious lake where Marimos live
This is a sightseeing cruise in Lake Akan, which is famous for its marimos (moss balls). Each cruise takes 85 minutes, going on an 18-kilometer route where you can enjoy seasonal scenes of the magnificent Mt. Oakandake and Mt. Meakandake. The boat stops by Churui Island to let the passengers take a 15-minute visit to the Marimo Exhibition and Observation Center. Another route goes to the beautiful fall crest via the foot of Mt. Oakandake. Also available is a high speed cruiser “Zepyre”, as well as motorboats.
