Special local produce, and a wealth of information on the town famous for “Kamameshi”
As this roadside station is at the entrance to the municipal agriculture exchange center “Agri-Kobo Mabu” and the camping site, it is often seen as the focal point for leisure activities in the area. The “Rice Gallery” gives children the chance to play games as they learn how rice is farmed, and you can also enjoy the flavours of the local Kamameshi (dish made with rice, meat, and vegetables) from the “Aji Shirube Ekitei” restaurant. You can also buy locally produced rice such as “Hoshi no yume” and “Kirara 397”, as well as “Acacia Honey” produced in the town by local apiary workers.
