The most famous cherry tree area in the Sorachi region
With azaleas in full bloom and around 1600 Yoshino cherry and Sargent cherry trees, this is the leading spot for spring flowers in the Sorachi region. The Sakura Festival is held when the cherry trees are in bloom, drawing many visitors in for flower watching. Also located nearby is the "Hometown Hillside viewing platform", where one can catch a magnificent view of the Sorachi Plains area.
