The Salmon Park Chitose can be found inside the Indian Waterwheel Park. Every autumn, salmon begin the hard swim upstream in the Chitose River that flows nearby. Many people visit to see the salmon captured by the waterwheels in the park. Inside the premises you can learn about the ecology of freshwater fish including salmon in the “Chitose Salmon Furusato Kan”, or enjoy delicious and fresh dishes such as salmon roe sowls or salmon rice cakes, in the popular “Restaurant Salmon”.
