The retro-style Ban’ya bathed in the evening sunlight on top of the hill
Toyako town (formerly Abutacho), surrounded by the lake, mountains, sea, and oceans of greenery. Roadside station Aputa is conveniently located at the junction with Route 37, and has delightful views of Uchiurawan from the rest area. Built on a small hill the Ban’ya style exterior has an elegant air, which is even more beautiful when viewed in the evening glows of the setting sun, and the sight of the 58 sculptures on the walking paths around Lake Toya are also a sight not to be missed. If you want to get around the parks a little faster, why not rent a bicycle and ride?
