The entrance to Niseko that harnesses the beauty of wild tree bark
This roadside station is a must-see stop-off point as you prepare to take in the sights of Niseko. There are three wings to the complex, namely the “Information Plaza Wing”, “Free Space Wing”, and “Toilet Wing”, each of which is adorned with beautiful wild tree bark. From the windows of the toilet wing near the vending machines, you can take in breathtaking views of Mt. Yotei, known in Hokkaido as the “Ezo Mt. Fuji”. Before travelling on to Niseko, we recommend you take a look at the locally produced vegetables and flowers that are for sale at very cheap prices in the agriculture store. Why not also drop off at the Arashima Memorial Hall, built among the ruins of the farmhouse that was built by the father of famous author Arashima Takeo, which is located nearby.
