The slope offers a gorgeous view of the Hakodate Port and the Seikan Ferry
This slope is well known for its gorgeous view of the city and was named after the Hakodate Hachiman Shrine, which used to be located along the slope and was later relocated to Yachigashira. The slope is a breathtaking scenic point from which you can view the Hakodate Bay and is a must-go place for strolling in Motomachi. Going down the stone pavement surrounded by trees, you'll find the building of the former Fuji Bank Hakodate Branch (currently the Hotel New Hakodate). Having appeared in numerous commercials and movies, the slope is a perfect spot for photographs.
