A vast secluded wilderness in southern Hokkaido with 2 outlying islands
A vast 2052 hectare natural park with a 30 kilometer coastline stretching across the towns of Matsumae, Fukushima and Shiriuchi, an island that serves as the breeding grounds for the Streaked Shearwater waterfowl and the true southernmost point of Hokkaido located on an outlying island. Though the fierce seas along the coast keep people from entering, the strange rocks and various plants dotting the landscape are truly a sight to see. It is known as the secluded wilderness of southern Hokkaido.
