A secluded wilderness in southern Hokkaido where one can enjoy the rugged beauty of the coast
Cape Yagoshi, located on the southern edge of Shiriuchi between Wakimoto and Yagoshi, is designated as the Matsumae-Yagoshi Prefectural Natural Park, and contains Koetsu Point, Namako Point and a number of fantastic looking rocks such as the Snakehead rock and the Apeman rock. This rugged coastline is known as the secluded wilderness of southern Hokkaido, and is a scenic location ideal for viewing the vast, beautiful coast. With approximately 20 kilometers of coastline, this area is also called the "Shiretoko of southern Hokkaido."
