Witness the marvelous harmony between lush nature and the Sea of Japan
From the peak of this 159-meter hill, one can catch a great view of Okushiri and Oshima out in the Sea of Japan, a beautiful coastline, and areas of Kaminokuni and Esashi. In the beginning of summer, this whole area is abloom with about 500 varieties of mountain plants and rhododendron. When the Matsumae Clan ancestor Nobuhiro Takeda passed away, his spirit was said to have been enshrined in a small shrine located here.
