Northern nature zone designated as a national treasure
Deemed important as the northernmost area native to the Japanese white pine, which is often seen in Honshu, this area on the face of the Sea of Japan was designated as a national treasure in 1928. The trees grow natively by a cliff 3 kilometers in from the Uzuragawa national forest entrance. Visible from the side of the forest path, we recommend that you bring binoculars.
