Shimamakimura is simply bursting with fresh seafood and fresh natural mountain vegetables. This popular roadside station’s main theme is food, providing a place where people can sample and buy local produce. Approximately half of the building is a restaurant, in which you can sample some of the finest local foods while soaking up the beautiful view of the Sea of Japan. Next to the roadside station you will find the “Isaribi Onsen” open-air bath, which looks out onto the ocean and is the pride of the local people!
