A popular facility opened last summer. The outdoor enclosure consists of a 16m tall metal fence filled with toys and ropes. Be enchanted by the expressions of the chimpanzees and surprised by their myriad actions. You can get to observe the curious nature of the chimpanzees in different angles from the sky bridge too. The indoor enclosure (starts from 16:00 during summer) allows you to check out the chimpanzees from a short distance via a glass window. Don’t forget to admire the wall painting by an ex-zookeeper, Hiroshi Abe. |

The polar bears enclosure consists of two exhibition space, one of which is a cageless area where you can get to admire the polar bears relaxing and walking around. It is fun to see them sitting down or check out their sleeping faces too! In the large pool, visitors get to be impressed by the powerful dives of the bears. Separated by a layer of glass, you will be captivated by proximity that allows u to see even the expressions on their faces. As the surface of the pool is set at the height of the visitors, you might just get the impression that the bears are diving right towards you. We hope you get to experience the very moment where the bears perform their dynamic dives. |

Rockhopper Penguin, Gentoo Penguin, Humboldt Penguin, and King Penguin, a total of 4 species of penguins live in this zoo. You can observe the penguins swimming in the underwater tunnel, looking like they are flying through the sky over you. Here, you realize that penguins are really a relative of the bird family. You will be shocked at their speed underwater. Sometimes, they swim so fast that even your eyes cannot catch up with them. Going up to the second floor, you will come upon the indoor enclosure set at a steady temperature of 15 degrees in summer. Observe the behavior of the penguins as they walk in and out of the enclosure. You can also get to see the penguins from a close distance in the outdoor enclosure. Be surprised by the moment they jump out of the water surface! |
